Study of BC14N-bilayer graphene: Effects of atomic spacing and interatomic interaction between B and N atoms

We study the effects of an attractive interaction between boron (B) and nitrogen (N) atoms doped in a bilayer graphene (BLG), BC14N, on electronic, thermal optical properties for two different types doping process: First, both B N are same layer while other is undoped. Second, layers. An does not influence interlayer first case, it second case. find that strong B-N one induces metallic behavior due to crossing valence band Fermi energy, layers semiconductor property arising from emergence bandgap. therefore confirm metallic-like BLG good material devices because has low figure merit, we notice semiconductor-like high Seebeck coefficient merit as well conductivity. The gives rise prominent peak appear dielectric function, excitation absorption spectra visible range, very weak seen case layer. Last, ferromagnetic anti-ferromagnetic phases BN-codoped structures also discussed. Controlling atomic configurations may help improve use thermoelectric optoelectronic devices.
